Why we are amazing

We have a family atmosphere where all of our staff know all of our students.
The students at Tikorangi School have a strong sense of belonging- they know
they are genuinely cared about.

 

We care about the ‘whole child’ and their families. We have amazing teachers and support staff with stable staff. We teach structured literacy as we believe this is crucial to helping all students succeed to their full potential. Our community is so supportive of us. We have a new entrant class as we believe that the transition from early childhood to school is important. We have single cell classrooms as we believe that teachers build better relationships and get to know their students much better this way. We have teacher aides in all classes at literacy time. We have teacher aides who takes sport at lunchtimes 5 days a week We have an amazing pump track with bikes, scooters and skateboards. Grandparents Day is where our Grandparents come into school and the children share what they do at school with them.
