Overall, our vision is to teach our students to think critically and creatively and be curious about the world around them. We want them to learn how to read, write and be mathematically confident. We will provide opportunities for them to be active learners who understand the ‘why’ of their learning. Our school values are an integral part of our school vision and our students' learning.

A Message from Kerry Nancarrow, Principal of Tikorangi School

KIA ORA KOUTOU

We believe we are the best little country school in New Zealand. We pride ourselves in working hard to ensure every child is at the centre of all we do.

Our teaching and leadership team includes: Kerry Nancarrow (Principal), Rachel Olson (Deputy Principal) Victor du Toit (Assistant Principal), Jadd Waters, Helen Pool, Claire Payne, Holly Gilmer, Melissa Bailey-Nowell, Tori Goble and Carolyn Parker. Our office admin person is Sue and we have 7 teacher aides: Lynne, Fran Rachel, Dave, Yvonne and Tainui. We want every child to reach their full potential and we enjoy working with our school families to ensure every child has success.

We have a big focus on 'Curious Active Thinking" as we want our children to be curious about the world around them and be able to critically think, ask questions and have ownership of their learning. Come along and have a look around the school to see what we can offer you and your family.
