Kia Ora Parents and Whanau
I feel really proud to be the Principal of Tikorangi School. We are lucky to have a very strong teaching and support staff who work tirelessly to ensure that our students are happy, learning and being extended in all sorts of different ways.
Our community and whanau support is second to none and is a strong part of our success as we all work together for ‘our kids’.
My background
I grew up in a rural school environment and have a dairy farming background with my own girls going to local rural schools as well. I started here as Principal in 2019 and was previously Principal at Matapu School and before that Deputy Principal at Stratford Primary. I have a Masters Degree with Distinction in Educational Leadership and Administration.
As Principal of Tikorangi School, I want our students here to have the best education and opportunities possible. I want ‘everything’ for our kids. To do that, we need to work in partnership with our families and our students need to have high attendance at school.
I am very approachable and always welcome parents to come and chat with me if they have any worries.
We are on an exciting journey and I believe that the schooling opportunities offered here set up our students really well for their future.
Kind Regards
Kerry
